Recovery Exhibition

An exhibition that reflects a year of devastation, resilience and hope

13 – 22 November 2020

On New Year’s Eve 2019 fire roared through the Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Garden causing destruction on a shocking level. The images in this exhibition show the devastating impact on the garden and its gradual and ongoing recovery.

Because of unsafe conditions the garden was closed to the public for over six months so unlike our previous exhibitions this one features images taken by just two photographers. Michael Anlezark, Manager of the Garden and Ken Foster a long-time Friend and supporter of the garden have produced these images to reflect a year of devastation, resilience and hope.

Some of the images have been used to produce the 2021 calendar and each image in this exhibition is available to purchase at $50.00 each. All proceeds will be used to aid in the recovery of this much loved scientific, educational and recreational facility.

The Eurobodalla Shire Council proudly manages the Garden on behalf of the community with the important and ongoing support of the Friends of Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Garden and Forestry Corporation.
