The Botanic Gardens is a lovely venue for events, including weddings, naming ceremonies, parties, community weddinggroup functions and open air concerts.
Suitable areas for ceremonies
The Amphitheatre has tiered seating and overlooks the lake. This has been a popular choice for weddings.
The lawn area on the northern side of the Visitors Centre can accommodate a large number of people, and has been successfully used for staging musical events.
A BBQ area is situated approximately 150 metres from the Visitors Centre. There are two large undercover gas barbecues, with protected seating and tables. Toilets are nearby. There are more tables and seating in the open and they are close to large open areas. Power is not available.
As the trees grow the Arboretum is providing a number of scenic venues for ceremonies. Power is not available. The nearest toilets are at the Visitors Centre.
Arrangements may also be made with the Café licencee. The Café is open during ERBG opening hours.
The information above relates to ceremonies. Hiring for other purposes is treated on a case-by-case basis.
