Friends of the Botanic Gardens

The rare local plant, Correa baeuerlenii, the Chef's Cap Correa, has been chosen by the Friends as their logo. You can see this attractive, versatile shrub in landscape plantings around the Visitors Centre. The Chef's Cap Café takes its name from this plant.

The Friends are a volunteer support group for the Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens.

The Friends aim to increase community awareness of the recreational, educational and conservation value of the Gardens. They also promote the use of the Gardens and its facilities.

From the commencement of the Gardens in 1988, the Friends have been actively involved as volunteers in the day-to-day work of the Gardens. At the same time they have raised substantial sums of money to help with a number of projects including:

Friends membership offers:

Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible through the Friends Trust account arranged with the Australian Taxation Office.

Annual Membership commences 1 July and extends to 30 June of the following year. Those joining after 1 January have membership until 30 June of the following year.

Joining the Friends will give you the opportunity to meet like-minded people, join in social activities, and share in this significant project.
